About
Cindy Kopacz

Cindy La Herran-Kopacz began her dance training with Alice Faye Myers and Benny Smith who taught her the fundamentals of tap, jazz and ballet. In 1987 Cindy was crowned Miss Santa Clara and the following year became the first Miss San Jose, earning the inaugural title with a stunning tap solo.

During her seven-year reign as a San Francisco Forty-Niners Gold Rush cheerleader, she earned two Super Bowl rings. Cheering in the NFL provided Cindy with the opportunity to dance behind musical greats Tony Bennett, Jeffrey Osbourne, Boys II Men, and Carlos Santana. A select member of the Gold Rush Tour Group, she performed for the USO, entertaining United States troops stationed in Korea. She has kept her ties with the Forty-Niners organization as an active member of the NFL Alumni. From 2011 to 2015 Cindy Co-Directed the San Jose SaberKittens. She was proud to earn an Arena Bowl ring at the conclusion of the 2015 season.

Cindy has trained with Dennis Casbury, Gill Stroming and Mia Michaels, some of the best of today. Cindy keeps up with the current dance world by attending clinics, workshops and conventions.

Teaching dance and performing has been Cindy’s passion for over 25 years. In 2004 she fulfilled a life-long dream when she opened the doors to her own studio, Dancyn Studio. With the help of her sister Michelle, Dancyn Studio has grown rapidly and is on its way to a very successful future.

About
Michelle La Herran

Michelle La Herran started dance lessons at the age of two and a half. She started with tap lessons then learned jazz, ballet and gymnastics. Under the direction and training of Alice Faye Myers she learned adagio, a combination of ballet and lifts between a pair. She and her partner won numerous state competitions and performed together several times a year. She also performed and competed year round on a co-ed competition team.

Michelle took her dance experience to the next level when she cheered for the San Francisco Forty-Niners on the Gold Rush. In her five years on the team she traveled to Korea and Bosnia on USO Tours, earned a Super Bowl ring, and graced the cover of the Gold Rush calendar. Michelle also spent four years cheering in the NBA for the Golden State Warriors. Her years of gymnastic training proved valuable while she cheered on this athletic and energetic team.

In 2007 and 2008 Michelle served as the Assistant Choreographer for the San Jose SaberKittens. She traveled with the team to New Orleans as they became the Arena Bowl Champs of 2007. From 2011 to 2015 Michelle served as the SaberKitten Co-Director and earned a second Arena Bowl ring in 2015.

A graduate of San Jose State University, Michelle earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Public Relations. With a talent for writing and a passion for sports and entertainment she has held various jobs in the sports industry.

Today Michelle enjoys running Dancyn Studio with her sister Cindy. She enjoys teaching new students and choreographing for the Performing Company.
